What is wrong with kids these days?

Parents nowadays would rather be best friends than parents. I’m not going to say that kids aren’t going to experience a little. It’s kind of hard not too when that’s basically all high school is about. You have to smoke, drink, have sex, etc to fit in. However, it’s not impossible to say “no”. I never drank, smoked, or had sex in high school. I didn’t care if anyone thought I was uncool, because my mother was killed to a drunk driver. Drinking is not cute, nor is it cool. but kids these days will do anything to fit in. I seriously think if everyone was jumping off bridges, the majority of the child population would be doing it also.
With that said, it’s parents fault too. I know someone who allows her 14 year old to live with her 21 year old boyfriend. Parents expect kids to grow up too fast these days, it’s ridiculous. Why not allow them to just be kids?

Acosta, Soriano or Smoltz as Brave’s closer?
I doubt even the Braves management has a sure answer on that question YET… But they won’t let Smoltz go to waste. They paid too much for him just to have him sit in middle relief. They’ll use Soriano until Smoltz is ready. Soriano just came off the DL, so I’m sure he’ll go right […]

I doubt even the Braves management has a sure answer on that question YET… But they won’t let Smoltz go to waste. They paid too much for him just to have him sit in middle relief. They’ll use Soriano until Smoltz is ready. Soriano just came off the DL, so I’m sure he’ll go right to work and Acosta will move into the setup role until Smoltz becomes available.
Then Smoltz is set to come off the DL after June 2nd. Whether or not it’s a safe bet that he’ll immediately head to the CL role, hard to tell..
But IF Smoltz takes the CL spot, Soriano will become the setup man. If Soriano for some reason takes the CL role, Smoltz will probably be the SU man. While it’s somewhat up in the air, I still strongly believe Smoltz will take the closing role seeing as he’s been an ace at the position in the past. And you take into the aforementioned salary issue on top of that, it’d be hard to believe anything else.
Acosta - MRP or AAA
Soriano - SU
Smoltz - CL

allergies can strike at any time in life. as long as you’ve eaten eggs and avacados in the past, you can be allergic to them. your immune system sets up a response to the thing you’re allergic to and reacts to it just as it would if you’d taken a dose of poison. sounds crazy, but true! I almost died from one bee sting. it was the second sting I’d ever had in my life. but my immune system set up a deadly defense against the venom after the first sting, and years later when I was stung for the second time, it was almost fatal.
if you really have concern that you’re allergic to these two things, I would see an allergist and get tested before eating them again. I’m not trying to scare you, but if you’re allergic, and you eat eat them again, the reaction could be worse than ever.
eggs are one of the most common foods that people are allergic to, and one of the most dangerous to eat if you are allergic to them. so get things checked out before you eat them again just to be safe okay? remember, better safe than sorry.

“Holy cow!” is an exclamation of surprise used in American English. Its source is uncertain:
It is widely believed to have stemmed from the Hindu belief of reincarnation. Travelers commonly shout the expression as to not hit one of these “reincarnated creatures” while driving. Others derive the origins back to the story from Exodus of the golden calf or the “Holy Cow.”
From the Dictionary of American Slang (1960):
“Holy Buckets!” Equiv. to “Holy cats!” or “Holy Mike!” both being euphemisms for “Holy Christ!”. This term is considered to be very popular among teenagers, and most teens claim it is definitely a very popular phrase. It is also the common oath and popular exclamation put into the mouths of teenagers by many script writers, and, is universally heard on radio, television, and in the movies. It was first popularized by the “Corliss Archer” series of short stories, television programs, and movies, which attempted to show the humorous, homey side of teenage life.
Paul Beale (1985), however, in revising Eric Partridge’s “Dictionary of Catch Phrases American and British” cites a different origin:
The original ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Batman’ oaths, ‘holy (something harmless),’ were in turn spoofed in the later 20th century by whatever seemed relevant to the situation. Nigel Rees, in Very Interesting… But Stupid: Catchphrases from the World of Entertainment, 1980, instances “holy flypaper!”, “holy cow!”, “holy felony!”, “holy geography!,” “holy schizophrenia!”, “holy haberdashery!”, etc., and adds, “The prefix ‘holy’ to any exclamation was particularly the province of Batman and [his boy assistant] Robin, characters created by Bob Kane and featured in best-selling comic books for over thirty years before they were portrayed by Adam West and Burt Ward in the TV film series.”
“Holy cow” was the catchphrase of legendary baseball player and broadcaster Phil Rizzuto and legendary broadcaster Harry Caray.

I was looking for the same thing some months ago, only the other direction - a ferry leaving Egypt for Turkey (or Greece, or Italy, or anywhere on the Med), and right now there’s nothing operating. There are some multiple destination boats that start in Greece, and stop at multiple points, including Egypt. But Turkey to Egypt direct - nothing currently.
There used to be some, in the recent past, and insha’allah, there will be again. I don’t know if it’s due to Egyptian government action, or what, but right now, nothing. And it seems to me that Alexandria would be a good ferry port to other places, and would bring in more tourism to Alex and to Egypt generally, which I thought Egypt’s government supports. But maybe corruption/bureaucratic inefficiency is getting in the way of this obvious opportunity for some entrepreneurs.

I own, show and breed MBT’s. In fact I have one who was the #1 Bit h in all breed points two years in a row. They are great little dogs. Lively, intelligent, and sweet. They are the clown of the dog world and it certainly helps if the owner has a good sense of humor.
But make no mistake, they are ALL TERRIER. The terrier temperament is not for everyone, and is best suited to people who have owned terriers before. They are all Bull Terrier, in a smaller package, and they can be dog agrressive if not socialized and trained properly. Obedience training is a must with this breed.
They are an extremely rare breed. Like any breed, the MBT suffers from several genetic problems (heart, kidneys, eyes, hearing, etc.) and reputable breeders run a battey of expensive medical tests prior to any mating. They are hard to breed and whelping is usually a c-section. Yes, puppies are expensive, average between $2,000 to $3,000.
The best place to learn more about this breed is right here on Yahoo Groups. They have a group dedicated to the Miniature Bull Terrier. You may also want to check with the MBTCA, the parent club. If I can answer any questions free free to contact me. Good luck.

Most firewall softwares go into a learning mode if you take the default install options. In this mode, it will BLOCK messages from every website or computer unless you tell it to ALLOW, which it does and remember. This is a good way to build up the allow list and minimize changes hackers can get pass the firewall. Asking the firewall software to remember the ALLOW or BLOCK response may be an option too, so you need to make sure to set the option, which can be changed after installation. A good firewall program will also BLOCK programs on your PC trying to go out on the web. That program may be a Spyware.
If you are logging in to Yahoo Mail the first time after you installed the firewall software, you would expect something back from Yahoo, and you will need to choose ALLOW to proceed. I you chose BLOCK first, and the message is really from Yahoo, you may get the request again, or you may get a message saying you cannot access Yahoo because of something you did. In that case, just repeat the log-in again and choose ALLOW this time.
Most Firewall software let you view this ALLOW or BLOCK list it has compiled based on your responses, and you can usually edit that to disallow some websites you no longer need, or delete the entry altogether. If you changed an entry to BLOCK or deleted, you will still be able to go to the website later. You just have to answer the question again.
The “trying to act as a server” is just confusing language chosen by techie programmers. As long as you install and run your Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware programs regularly, you minimize the chances of having Spyware on you PC sending your private information to a hacker’s server.
